Anntwanique DeVonne Edwards was born January 19, 1973 in New Haven, Connecticut. She is the daughter of Beverly and Jeffrey Edwards and the eldest of three children. She moved to Florida after graduating from West Haven High School in 1990. In the fall of that same year she began studies at the University of Florida where she has attained several degrees, including an Associates of Arts (A.A.), Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Sociology, Master of Education (M.Ed.) and Education Specialist (Ed.S.) in Counselor Education with a specialization in Mental Health Counseling, and a second M.Ed. in Educational Leadership Pastor/Evangelist Edwards is currently a doctoral candidate at the University of Florida where she is pursuing a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Elementary and Secondary Administration. Furthermore, she has worked as a drug counselor aide, mental health counselor, middle school counselor, and high school guidance counselor before being promoted to her current position as the assistant principal of Hawthorne Middle/High School. Although she has been favored to receive many positions, her desire is to be most recognized as a woman of God.
Through her educational studies and professional positions, she has acquired great knowledge, but never has neglected the ministry or responsibilities of her calling. Evangelist Anntwanique Edwards has worked in the field of counseling and education for approximately eighteen years combined. She has faithfully served in ministry while balancing work and school. She became a licensed missionary/evangelist for the Church of God in Christ (COGIC). Several years later she founded Generation, COGIC, where she served as the pastor from August 2003 through May 2008. The church is part of Florida Central Second Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction under the leadership of Bishop Edward Robinson, Sr. and directly supervised by the Ocala District through the direction of Superintendent Elton Oliver, Sr. and District Missionary Vivian Oliver.
Evangelist Edwards has steadfastly promoted the word of God. Many have been brought to Christ, delivered from captivity, and healed through the anointing that rests upon her, but it was her personal deliverance experience that continued to launch her forward. In 2005, she self-published her first book entitled Daddy, Where Are You? and founded a non-profit organization named Divine Ministry, Inc (www.divineministry.net), which grants scholarships, promotes education, and facilitates various services for spiritual growth. Her book has afforded her the opportunity to do mission work internationally and preach in other nations. Her international travel includes Botswana, Africa (April –May 2007) and Jamaica (July 2007). She has consistently ministered in numerous cities in her home state (Florida), as well as in North Carolina and Maryland. Anntwanique also serves as a writer for MannaScript, a new Christian magazine (www.mannascript.com), and she continues to invest in a wealth of other projects and organizations.
Evangelist Edwards has devoted immeasurable time to her community and serves as a wonderful role model for young people. As you can tell, her life consisting of "school, work and church" keep her very busy. However, she seizes every moment to please our Lord. God has guided her to a phenomenal place in ministry to focus on generating a greater Spiritual nation. Her evangelistic responsibility to women and children is being unveiled at a greater level. Thus, we believe nations will be changed forever. Expect more in ministry from this great vessel!
